2011, You’ll be able to accomplish more than you could in 7!

Last year just before the New Year I had the opportunity to share a word that God had given me for 2010. I was at Marion Christian Center and the Lord had spoken to me often about 2010 being a year that would be “better than it’s been.” After I shared that message to that congregation and sat down, I heard the Lord very clearly say to me, “2011 You’ll be able to accomplish more than you could in 7!” As 2010 played out I held onto these words often. For Dan and I this last year had it’s triumphs and challenges I can truly say as the days of 2010 are drawing to a close that 2010 has been better than it had been. When I get these things from heaven like this they aren’t just for me and my family but I believe for the body of Christ as a whole.

As 2010 draws to a close and we begin to step into 2011, I am really excited. This is a really awesome time in the body of Christ. Not only have I heard the words that we’d be able to accomplish more in this year than we could in 7, about a month ago in prayer I was praying about doorways and I had visions of gateways. I believe that there are gates opening up to the people of God all over. I have continued to get this scripture time and time again that says just that!

Isaiah 62:10 (NIV)
Pass through, pass through the gates!
Prepare the way for the people.
Build up, build up the highway!
Remove the stones.
Raise a banner for the nations.

Last Sunday as I had the opportunity to visit Grace Ministries in Windsor Canada, I saw a whirlwind, and I asked God what was that about. I continued to get the phrase “winds of acceleration.”

I feel that the last season in the body has been preparation for many in the kingdom. Many have gotten bored with the training and have been yearning to begin to start these things, and now the race has truly begun. The race is on.

Many of you have found yourselves struggling with discouragement. (Myself included) Shake it off, because the gates are open!

We must remember, even in the days of acceleration, that God’s purpose is that we can help others to get to their destinies. We must pass through the gates, but we must also prepare the way for others. Rise up the banner of what He is doing in your life and go boldly forward so that the nations of the earth will see it in you. God has been faithful to you, and He’s consistent. His faithfulness has no end.

Be excited, and have a Happy New Year. Smiles.

It's the Holidays, Stay Sensitive!

If you read my blogs often you’ve probably heard me often say in this season how I believe these are exciting times to be alive. I believe God is doing awesome things in the church and there are a lot of things getting ready to take place in both a corporate body of Christ and in the lives of individuals as well.

A few nights ago I had a very vivid dream/vision. I saw what appeared to be dark glass and it looked as if there was a powerful light source behind it. That glass was breaking and through the breaks one could see the other side. After getting up and praying for a few moments I went back to sleep to have a dream that I was at a checkout line just about there. I believe both of these were relating that same thing. That both corporately and individually so many of us are so close to the breakthroughs that God has continued to promise us.

You’ve also heard me quote Pastor Arthur on numerous times that, “suddenlies are never suddenly. It may be suddenly people see the thing spring up but God has been doing things under the surface for quite sometime.”

I want to encourage all of you to take this time in the holiday season not to be lulled asleep by fleshy things going on around you, but be awake, alert and plugged into Jesus.

James 4:14 (NKJV)whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

Stay alert and vigilant because things are beginning to break forth!

Now, if you remember the last blog I wrote, I spoke about the Lord showing me one way you stay alert is that you rest when God tells you to. I believe that I need to take some time in the next few weeks while my family and I will be celebrating the holidays to not write the blogs. However I assure you I will be coming back before the first of the year. The Lord was very clear to me at the beginning of last year. He told me that, “In 2011 you’ll be able to accomplish more than you could in 7.” I am excited for 2011 and I believe it’ll be a year of fulfillment for many. I will be writing that blog, posting it and sending it out just before the New Year, and then you can expect my normal schedule to resume.

I want to remind you all in the Central Ohio area that I will be at Hope Crossing book store in Marion Ohio on Saturday Dec 11th from 1-3. I will be signing, “Heavenly Humor for a Cat Lover’s Soul.” I’m excited about this events and I now have bookmarks announcing “Exposing the spirit of Balaam” with Destiny Image Publishers March 2013 to give to everyone who comes.

Stay expecting. Stay tuned in to what the Spirit of the Lord is saying. Stay sensitive. Be on your guard. I wish and pray for you all to have a very Merry Christmas. God is faithful to you. Be blessed!

Stop Hitting Snooze

When I was in college, I remember having it down to a science how many times I could hit the snooze button before I had to wake up. Lingering in that place of half asleep half-awake, I became master at procrastination and I will get up later. Often times we can find concepts that exist in the physical and transfer them to have meaning in the spiritual. I am not going to say if you are a snooze button hitter in the physical that you have gone to sleep spiritually, but there is a concept here in which I feel that the Holy Spirit is leading me to address.

Matthew 25:5 (Amp)
While the bridegroom lingered and was slow in coming, they all began nodding their heads, and they fell asleep.

The above scripture is taken from the parable of the virgins. Where only half were prepared with enough oil and the other half ran out. When the bridegroom finally did come, the half that did not prepare had gone and gotten more oil only to come back and find that had missed their bridegroom. Their procrastination cost them dearly. However if you notice ALL of them fell asleep.

We are in a season of time in the kingdom where it is critical for everyone to spiritually wake up and discern what God is saying to the church as a whole. There are awesome things that are going to begin to take place in the church but we must be awake and discern the times and seasons.

Matthew 16:3 (KJV)
And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

I was asking the Lord yesterday the simple question, “Ok, then how to we stay awake?” To which His response was: 1) Pray 2) Stay sober and vigilant or alert and 3) Rest when He tells us to. Honestly, #3 surprised me but as I began to think about what I felt God was saying it made a lot of sense. What I felt God was saying is all too often people don’t rest when they need to. Therefore, they are worn out when they need to be alert. This is something I can’t honestly say what you need to do with you, but seek God about when is a time of resting for you and when is a time of running. While I think you always need to stay alert in the spirit, there are times of “resting” God will lead you to in order to prepare you for the next season.

Romans 13:11 (KJV)
[ Put on Christ ] And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.

We have to wake up church from being procrastinating lackadaisical mediocre Christians. I’m not saying have a works mentality, however faith without works is dead (James 2:14). There is a balance here. God doesn’t like it when people become lukewarm (Rev 3:14). You have to wake up people. Stop hitting the spiritual snooze button, and wake up! Life is too short to sleep through it! It’s time to wake up.
