Seeing Through The Trees

My parents’ house is in a very wooded area in Ohio, and subsequently I always joke that I grew up in the woods of Ohio. As a little girl I would spend hours exploring the woods around the house. I can remember going out into the woods to pick flowers or wild raspberries. I used to love to get deep in the woods and be able to look up and see the sky through the trees. There was something I always found almost majestic about being able to look up and see light. It was if the leaves etched there way as a tattoo to the beauty of a crystal blue sky and I stood there in awe of God in nature.

Often we can feel like that in our spiritual walk. We can find ourselves in the deepest part where it can feel as if there is darkness all around. We can be so entrapped by circumstances that we can feel that we don’t see any light. But I speak to you today to look up. See the beauty in the sky. See through your circumstances. See past where you are right now.

2 Corinthians 4:8-9 “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”

You might feel as if you are in a dark place right now, but you ARE NOT destroyed. If you’ve been born again the power of Jesus Christ is working on the inside of you. Though your circumstances may feel like they are pressing you down, you are not destroyed.

Look up! You’re help comes through Jesus Christ. Look up! As Kim Clement says, “You’re somewhere in the future and you look much better than you look right now!”

Despite of what you’re going through. Despite of how you feel God will never leave you nor forsake you. Look through the circumstances and see that God is there. See Him through your circumstance!

Philippians 3:12
[ Pressing on Toward the Goal ] Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Press on to the edge of the woods! Press forward through the circumstances! Take hold of what God has for you. Embrace it with a passion! See the sky through the trees! Choose to see past where you are right now! Know that God is for you so who can be against you! Know God is good and you can trust in Him! He’s got good plans for your life! Be excited today, and don’t forget to look up!
