            I have a confession to make.  I had been struggling emotionally in the last few weeks.  I could give myself a dozen scriptures for every negative attitude I was having.  I was trying to preach myself back to a place of hope and faith, but I just couldn’t seem to get my head up.  I confessed my downward spiral to a few people.  We always need people in our lives that can speak into them like few can, but I was still struggling.  I knew I needed to renew my mind.  My family and I have been through a lot in the last few months.  Certain situations haven’t turned out yet the way we’ve expected them to, but some things have worked out.  Yada yada yada, God is faithful, but sometimes when expectations are not met the way we think they should be we all have a tendency to have a moment.  I hadn’t been in such a low place for a lot of years.  I know I’m being crazy trans...

For those of you who read my blogs regularly you’ll remember the story about the “Divine Happenings in a Small Christian Bookstore” that I posted on April 2nd. Up until that point I hadn’t found anyone, and then a precious bunch of people came into a book signing of mine in St. Petersburg. A God connection resulted, and it was an honor to get to speak at Nation of Life International Ministries in Miami this past Sunday. In my opinion, Tim Hawkins is one of the funniest comedians out there. If you have never heard of him I highly recommend you go to you tube and stick his name in the search engine. About an hour later, you will still be setting there with aching sides in tears. He‘s so funny. He has got a bit that I have been thinking about the spiritual applications of it for today’s blog. Those little toys inevitably find there way into the crevices of your carpet, and you do not realize it until it is one in the morning and you are up to go to the bathroom. How many of us have found ourselves at the mercy of a stupid McDonald’s toy or Lego at the break of dawn.
