Going from the Multiples to the Multitudes

I’m not quite sure how to label this blog.  You can call it a blog, a semi prophetic word, or a random musing, but today I had a bit of a rheama word that seemed to bounce off of scripture and shake me for a moment.  I felt I needed to share.
I feel that the churches as a whole as well as many leaders are being shifted into some new places.  We are going from the multiples to the multitudes.  What do I mean by that?  I believe God is enlarging our spheres of influence and we who have been feeling this shift, need to prepare to enlarge our tents and stretch out our tent pegs (Isaiah 54).  This is a transition of thinking.  Early in Jesus’ ministry you don’t see the multitudes mentioned until after the disciples are called.  There was an appointed time where His fame was heard and multitudes began following Him.  Jesus loved the one.  He would have done anything for the one individual.  However it was often in the seas of the multitudes was where the signs wonders and miracles took place.  It is there where miracles are the “dinner bell” of the gospel that we will begin to see multitudes come into the churches.  Like in the early days of the church, where thousands would join a church in a day, I believe we are getting ready to see this happen.
I believe we are living in such a time where a great harvest will begin to pour into our churches and ministries.  I believe that we are on the verge of some of the greatest moves of God on the earth.  I believe that as we are beginning to see the dark getting darker, the light will be shining brighter then has shone before on the earth.  It can get easy to get frustrated at how dark it seems to be getting.  But be encouraged, there is a move of God beginning to billow into The Remnant.  There will be multitudes of people being added to the Kingdom, and I can assure you that one day, “Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.” (Phillip 2:10)
I believe we are moving as a body from the multiples to the multitudes.  I believe these are exciting times to be alive in the Kingdom of God.  Get ready; there is a shifting breaking forth.

I AM Royalty

My oldest daughter has been diligently researching our family ancestry on ancestry.com as of recently.  While I had thought prior to this that we had a pretty clear understanding as to who our ancestors were, add the power of the internet and it’s amazing what one will learn.  I am not going into specifics but thousands of years ago we’ve discovered royalty on both sides of my family.  This came as an utter shock to me as well as everyone else, because we certainly never knew this.  To me it just goes to show if you look long enough we’ll find that we’re all related in some way.  It was like being on our own version of TLC’s “Who Do You Think You Are?”   I was joking with my daughter that I was waiting for the line to go back to Noah. The twists and turns we found were so exciting I could easily write a few historical fiction books about what we learned (one day I might). The wild thing about this is the very first time I ever received a prophetic word, part of that word was “Walk like a queen, says God.”  It just goes to show God knew what my lineage entailed.
As I learned all of this it sent me on my own personal fresh revelation of what being royalty means.  I’ve heard it preached for years that when you are in Christ you become part of a royal priesthood.  I have heard countless sermons about this subject and I’ve heard them, but I don’t think they became revelation to me until now.  The word about walking like a queen was always in my memory, but I never really got it.
1 Peter 2:9 says, “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the Excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Once you’ve accept Jesus Christ as your savior, you became royalty.  This means that all of us no matter our own lineage, ARE royalty.  You need to let that sink in for a moment.  We ARE sons and daughters of a KING.  Really think about that.  It’s not about the things we do, or the things we don’t do, but it’s about who our daddy is!  Sure we can live outside his kingdom, but when we choose Him, He will take care of us!  We are known by our father the King.  He makes a way for us, He will take care of us, and He is making sure that His legacy continues.  He wants what is best for us and His kingdom.  It is no longer about our own struggles, but it’s about knowing who our father, The King, IS!  It’s an awesome thing if you let that soak into your brain.           I guess for me, learning about my lineage helped settle this revelation in my life.  Walk like the royalty that you have been created to be.  You are a son and a daughter of THE MOST HIGH!  Perhaps, it’s time that we hold up our head and live like it!  Walk like the royal child that you are.

God, the KING, has awesome plans for your life.  Get excited!

In The Beauty of an Amish Romance

Click for Options
On Friday one of my very best friends and I took my daughters into Amish country.  It was the last day of their Spring Break, and it seemed like a good day trip. My youngest daughter wanted desperately to ride in a buggy behind a horse.  We weren’t sure where we could take her, but on our last stop it just so happened that in the parking lot there was an enterprising Amish family who had a small petting zoo, and buggy rides.
Our buggy driver was a precious older Amish man named Abe.  He had a long white beard and wisdom in his eyes.  He took us around his farm.  He began point out to the farms around the area.
“I grew up at that farm.” He pointed to a nearby building.  “My wife grew up at that one.”  He smiled and slowly I could see a smile begin to grow across his face.  “But I guess it’s that farm right there that I have such found memories of,” His eyes began to sparkle.  “My wife and I were married there, and every day I pass it and I think how blessed I really am.”  His comments and emotions were genuine and heartfelt.
All the occupants of the buggy followed his gaze.  The picture in the distance is of this farm.
“How long have you and your wife been married,” My gaze went back into the buggy.  Inquisitively my friend asked him, and suddenly I noticed that his eyes were beginning to water.
“Almost 50 years.  We’ve had a lot of friends that haven’t made it so long with their mates.  One had gone home and such, my wife and I talk to each other every morning.  Yah, we are so blessed.”

Our conversation continued, but in my mind and heart I stayed back into the beauty of this man who loves his wife so much that every day he passes the place they were married and he still loves her so much that he counts his blessings as he does.  It still makes him tear up.  This kind of beautiful love is sadly rare in our culture. We are all so caught up in our own agenda’s that it seems we all have a tendency to take each other for granted.  We’ve become a society that seems to romanticize ‘one night stands’ and the ‘50 shades of something’ have seemed to infiltrate and deceive our culture.   Simply God created one man and one woman to love each other (Mark 10:9).  Yes, I know that sometimes life happens and it doesn’t always occur that way.  However just this last weekend I heard about some old friends who are calling it quits on their marriage.  I don’t pretend to know all that has gone on, I just find it sad. It’s like someone losing a part of them and them not realizing it.
My moral of this story is clear.  Marriage is hard work, but love the one your with.  If you’re not married and you want to be then believe God for the right mate.  God has given you the grace and ability to live life together, and that is a beautiful thing.
