Going from the Multiples to the Multitudes

I’m not quite sure how to label this blog.  You can call it a blog, a semi prophetic word, or a random musing, but today I had a bit of a rheama word that seemed to bounce off of scripture and shake me for a moment.  I felt I needed to share.              I feel that the churches as a whole as well as many leaders are being shifted into some new places.  We are going from the multiples to the multitudes .  What do I mean by that?  I believe God is enlarging our spheres of influence and we who have been feeling this shift, need to prepare to enlarge our tents and stretch out our tent pegs (Isaiah 54).  This is a transition of thinking.  Early in Jesus’ ministry you don’t see the multitudes mentioned until after the disciples are called.  There was an appointed time where His fame was heard and multitudes began followi...

I AM Royalty

Image
My oldest daughter has been diligently researching our family ancestry on ancestry.com as of recently.  While I had thought prior to this that we had a pretty clear understanding as to who our ancestors were, add the power of the internet and it’s amazing what one will learn.  I am not going into specifics but thousands of years ago we’ve discovered royalty on both sides of my family.  This came as an utter shock to me as well as everyone else, because we certainly never knew this.  To me it just goes to show if you look long enough we’ll find that we’re all related in some way.  It was like being on our own version of TLC’s “Who Do You Think You Are?”   I was joking with my daughter that I was waiting for the line to go back to Noah. The twists and turns we found were so exciting I could easily write a few historical fiction books about what we learned (one day I might). The wild ...

In The Beauty of an Amish Romance

Image
On Friday one of my very best friends and I took my daughters into Amish country.  It was the last day of their Spring Break, and it seemed like a good day trip. My youngest daughter wanted desperately to ride in a buggy behind a horse.  We weren’t sure where we could take her, but on our last stop it just so happened that in the parking lot there was an enterprising Amish family who had a small petting zoo, and buggy rides.              Our buggy driver was a precious older Amish man named Abe.  He had a long white beard and wisdom in his eyes.  He took us around his farm.  He began point out to the farms around the area.             “I grew up at that farm.” He pointed to a nearby building.  “My wife grew up at that one.”  He smiled and slowly I could see a smile b...

Hello Super Fabulous People!   Big Surprise!  I thought I'd have a few more months to prepare for the release of this devo.  I was thinking June.  Ummmm nope!  To get it out for before Mother's Day it's now supposed to release on April 15th.  Please pray with me and agree with me to get a book tour and events started.  I need doors to open no man can open, and to not get overwhelmed in the process.  :-) God is faithful!   Thank you for your prayers!
